Day 5: Break out of your Identity Box

"If you truly want to change your life, you must first be willing to change your mind." - Donald Altman

Welcome to Day 5!

Today I want to address a topic that I believe is holding so many of us back - in all areas of our lives.

The limiting beliefs we have about ourselves.

A limiting belief is doubting that something is possible. It’s your brain literally saying, “I can’t do this.” “I don’t know how to do that.” or “I’m not good enough to deserve that.”

I believe your thoughts can 100% propel you to someone who THRIVES in sobriety. Someone who truly enjoys the experience of being alcohol free. Why?

Your THOUGHTS affect your EMOTIONS which then affect your ACTIONS.

Your ACTIONS generate RESULTS, which ultimately deliver OUTCOMES (either positive or negative) in your life.

My identity box for years was tied into:

  • I’m never going to change.

  • I’m not smart enough.

  • I don’t say the right things in meetings.

  • Everyone thinks I’m stupid.

  • I need a business partner to be successful because I can’t do it on my own.

This held me back from opportunities, because I lived in fear and insecurity and felt dependent on my business partner for the success of our PR agency. I didn’t think I had any other talents and I definitely didn’t think I could make anything happen career-wise without my partner.

But that’s not the truth. It never was.

And your self-limiting beliefs aren’t true either. Your thoughts aren’t facts BUT your mind will work to prove you right.

Listen to the audio below to learn about the thought inventory assignment I’m asking you to complete!

  1. Listen to the thought inventory instructions (see above) and complete this project to identify any limiting beliefs or negative thought patterns and REPLACE them with truths about yourself. Do this every time a limiting belief comes up! Decide you can.

  2. Say your Daily Mantra "I am worthy of great things."

  3. Head over to the Private Facebook Group and join us to share that you completed Day 5 (or post any successes or struggles you encountered)

  4. Send any questions you may have to me at I want us all to have a successful 30-Day Reset so let me know how I can help.

  5. Want more?
